[webdav-jp:0544] apache2 で使える mod_encoding.so は

初めまして　石間＠千葉　です。

現在、Apache2.0.40+Win2000SP2でWebDAVを利用しています。
半角英数字のファイルに関しての扱いは問題ないのですが、全角文字を扱うこと
が出来ません。
過去記事を全部見てみたところ、iconv.dllやmod_encoding.soについて書かれた
記事があり、下記を参考にして必要なファイルは入手してみました。

iconv.dllやiconv_hook.dllはWin2000のsystem32フォルダにコピーしてあります。
mod_encoding.soはapacheのmodulesフォルダにコピーしてあります。

httpd.confも修正し、apacheを再起動してみたところ、イベントログに下記のよ
うなエラーが出てapacheの起動が出来ませんでした。

The Apache service named  reported the following error:
>>> Apache.exe: module "C:\My Project\mod_encoding\mod_encoding.c" is 
not compatible with this version of Apache.      

内容的にはmod_encodingがapache2.0.40では使えないようなことが書かれている
ようですが上記の[webdav-jp:0446]ではapache2に対応しているような書かれ方
だったのですが、何か私は勘違いしてしまっているのでしょうか？
